Is your Facebook Business Page just a Sandwich Board

The other day I was having a chat with a chat via skype  with Jodie Telha from  Tasmania.

We were discussing many when the topic turned to Facebook, and in particular Facebook Business Pages.

Jodie commented on how most businesses are just using their Facebook page as a sandwich board. What Jodie mean by that is that they just write their special’s on there, in the hope that people will come into their business.

But that is not the way business pages on Facebook work. Facebook business pages are very cleverly designed to allow you to easily add audio, video, pictures and quizzes for a very good reason…

It create’s interaction! Anyway I explain it all in the video. So what are you doing with your Facebook Business Page? Is it working for you? Or is it just a sandwich board.

So true Beanie.

Facebook offers so much potential to create and share fun, interesting and helpful content. Businesses need to embrace the opportunity and start thinking about it from a publishers perspective. Magazines live and die by their readership, and they keep people reading by publishing the best content they can for their market.
